Downtown Grand Junction is pleased to announce that the 2016 Downtown Music Festival will once again partner with the Grand Junction Off-Road Mountain Bike Event from May 20-23, 2016 in beautiful downtown Grand Junction, Colorado! The Downtown Music Festival, in its 28th year, draws thousands of local and regional residents to Main Street to enjoy 3 days of FREE music on 3 separate stages while enjoying our Beer & Wine Garden which spans the entire festival area4 blocks of Main Street!

The Grand Junction Off-Road, in its 4th year, brings both professional and amateur riders and their families from all over the country to Grand Junction to enjoy our amazing trail system and our scenic downtown. Combining with the Grand Junction Off-Road Mountain Bike Event allows us to include the race start and finish line within the festival, as well as a Bike Expo featuring vendors from across the Mountain Biking industry.

Our 2016 musical lineup includes

Denver based band, Head for the Hills, will headline the main stage Friday evening at 8:30pm followed by The Stone Foxes, out of San Francisco, on Saturday at 8pm. Other regional acts include Changing Lanes Experience, Quiet Life, Mama Magnolia, Atomga, Stray Grass, and Tight Thump, as well as local favorites such as We Speak Imaginese, Bobby Walker, Wave Baby, Radicult, the Doug Simons Band, Still House String Band, Clive McGee, Alycia Vince, Soul Habit and Gonzales with Bicycle Annie. In addition to the main stage at 4th and Main, the festival also has stages in the breezeways on the 500 and 600 block of Main street, creating unique venues for both performers and festival attendees.

New this year to the festival is Dirt Church, which will take place on Sunday, May 22 from 10:30a-2:30p and include a gospel performance from Salt Lake City band, Changing Lanes Experience, Sierra Nevada Micheladas and Off-Road Mimosas, as well as breakfast food trucks. The Grand Junction Off-Road boasts a large number of professional riders for their pro race on Sunday morning and Dirt Church- slang used by mountain bikers for riding on Sunday morning- was organized as a fun way to get a larger crowd down to watch the pros.

Call for entry for food vendors is currently closed. We are not accepting applications for Musical Entertainment for this years festival.
