SummerFest on the Rio

Welcome to the 13th Annual SummerFest on the Rio! The dates for this years festival are June 5th June 7th, 2015. Festival hours this year are: Friday 4:00 pm 10:00 pm, Saturday 10:00 am 10:00 pm, and Sunday 10:00 am 7:00 pm.

Summerfest on the Rio was started in 2001 as a way to promote the San Luis Valleys eclectic arts and crafts community. Since then, the annual festival has been held along the winding Rio Grande on the first weekend in June Its a kick-off to summertime in Alamosas spacious and picturesque Cole Park.

The park opens up Friday, June 5 at 4:00 p.m. This offers everyone a sneak peek to what the weekend offers. Unwind from a long week, walk along the park and enjoy the evening. Friday night is Summerfests signature Concert in the Park. Food vendors and the beer garden will be open. Saturday proves to be a big hit with the families. 2015 marks the Third Annual Summerfest Poker Run. Proceeds will go toward Art and Music Scholarships to ASU. Beginning at 10:00 a.m. the vendors will be ready to go. There will be entertainment on two stages as well as throughout the park. Sunday, starting at 10:00 a.m., visitors return for delicious food, entertainment and activities with more than 125 area craft, food and activity vendors.
