Arvada Kite Festival

Bright colors will glide through the sky above Arvada for the 12th Annual Arvada Kite Festival. This event thrills all age groups with the artistry of kite flying and friendly competition along with musical entertainment, great food, activities and non-stop fun.

This year's event is scheduled for SUNDAY, APRIL 6 with a rain date already reserved for April 13, just in case. Activities will kick off at 10:00 a.m. and run until 4:00 p.m. at STENGER SOCCER COMPLEX, 58TH AVENUE AND OAK STREET.

Kite flying competitors will be divided into two groups based on age: a 10 and younger age group and an 11 and older age group. There will be four categories of competition: highest kite, smallest kite, largest kite and most visually appealing kite. It's FREE to compete and trophies will be awarded to the top four winners in both age groups.
