| Description: | From Haxtun Corn Festival Website: The Haxtun Corn Festival or "Cornfest" as it is known by the locals is held the last weekend in September, which falls this year on Sept. 28th.
Events of the day include a 5K Walk or Run, one of the best parades in the area, kiddie parade, kiddie races, street games, antique tractor pull, quilt show, crop and garden show, baking contest, hot dog eating contest, cake decorating contest, demolition derby, dance, Little Mr. & Miss Haxtun Corn Festival, flower show,golf tournament, Fireman's pancake breakfast, FFA auction, kiddie rides, venders and food booths. There is truly something for everyone.
