SummerFest on the Rio

Welcome to SummerFest on the Rio, the San Luis Valleys way of kicking off summertime fun. This annual festival depicts extensive art and craft talents, musical entertainment for the entire family, and a multitude of activities for the kids. Walk along the winding Rio Grande in the beautiful spacious Cole Park while contemplating something from a large variety of food and drink.

The festival takes place the first full weekend in June each year. Everyone is ready to go Friday at 4:00 p.m. The food and beer garden gear up for the SummerFests signature concert in the park from 6:00-9:30 p.m.

Saturday proves to be a big hit with the families. The park starts buzzing at 8:00 a.m. with the annual benefit Poker Run. Vendors are all set to go at 10:00 a.m. looking forward to the community interaction. The two stages coordinate a variety of genres from local and nonlocal artists, offsetting each other so youll never have to miss one. A final amazing act winds it down by 9:30 p.m.

Sunday opens up at 10:00 a.m. with music playing from 11:00-6:00 p.m. This is a great day to make those purchases of items you pondered on Saturday.

There are no pets (unless certified), bicycles or fire arms permitted within the park during this weekend. Please keep them around the perimeter of the park or leave them at home for everyone's safety.
