| Description: | 20th Annual Gilpin County Fair August 18 & 19, 2012 The 20th Annual Gilpin County Fair is Saturday, August 18 and Sunday, August 19, 2012. The County Fairgrounds are located at 230 Norton Drive, 7 miles north of Black Hawk. Come watch the arena and stage shows and participate in the Family Games including the popular Red Neck Relay Race and the Dog Agility Contest. Other exciting events will include Gilpin Gourmet Contest, Talent Contest, live entertainment, free rides and the Saturday Night Bonfire complete with hot dogs, marshmallows, music and fun. Do not forget the Timberline Fire Pancake Breakfast on Sunday morning from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Come join us this summer and be a part of the 2012 Gilpin County Fair! The Exhibit Barn will be open to the public between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday and between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to ****2:00 p.m. on Sunday***** NOTE NEW closing time on Sunday. All doors will be securely locked all other hours of the Fair. Outside vendors who wish to be open any other hours the Fair is open are welcome to do so. There will be a Fire Department Fundraiser pancake breakfast served between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. After 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, the only activity that will be going on will be setting up and firing up the Bonfire but it is hoped many people will stick around for this event. The Fair is RAIN OR SHINE and vendors are expected to be prepared to operate if conditions allow. If you do not feel conditions allow it for your booth to be open, please contact the Fair Coordinator for permission to close down. | ||
