Description: Vibrant and Diverse Artists Featured at Art Night Out
Lafayettes Old Town� will host Art Night Out, July 31st, from 6:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m., with live music, visual arts, childrens activities, dining, special promotions discounts and giveaways. Held along Lafayettes Public Road, between Baseline Road and Waneka Parkway, Art Night Out participants will enjoy exploring the shops, restaurants, culture and history in Lafayettes Old Town�.
Featured artists include award-winning and internationally acclaimed, Red Feather Woman who is one of the leading Native American storytellers, singers, songwriters and authors. She has captivated audiences for more than 20 years, singing and telling traditional stories to children and adults of all ages. Also featured, award-winning metal sculptor, Jack Middleton, whose contemporary work have been exhibited in many art galleries throughout the country and in the Denver Metro area. His sculptures have also appeared in various publications like, Denvers 5280 Magazine and Western Interiors Magazine.
Enjoy a variety of music styles including; jazz, folk, brass chamber music and original music by songwriters Robin Richardson, Angie Loucht, Laurie Dameron and Steve Murray. Chosen as Junes artist of the month by Sunlight of the Spirit Music, Robin Richardson has toured internationally and released 5 cds filled with heartfelt lyrics. Laurie Dameron has been featured at many local festivals such as, A Taste of Colorado, The Capital Hill Peoples Fair and Boulder Creek Festival. Lauries diverse styles from folk, pop, country, blues and jazz and her unique sense of humor allow her to relate well to any audience.
Kids can be creative and compete for great prizes during the childrens chalk art competition. Free root beer floats and theater samplings will round out the evening.
